Department of Business Administration in collaboration with Shaoor Foundation for Education organized a two day training session focusing aspiring young on Entrepreneurship and Business Plan Development.   2017/12/08

Department of Business Administration, Women University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Bagh in collaboration with Shaoor Foundation for Education and USAID organized a two day training session on Entrepreneurship and Business Plan Development focusing on aspiring young talent pool. Training was held on 4th -5th December 2017. The mandate of program included inauguration of an on-campus virtual incubator for connecting students with local financial providers and Women Chamber of Commerce.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Haleem Khan, Vice Chancellor, Dr. Muhammad Riaz Khan, Registrar and Prof. Dr. Sheikh Saeed Ahmed, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences and Arts welcomed the guest speakers and resource persons. The Vice Chancellor and Dean of Social Science and Arts also addressed the hall on opening day. Team of Shaoor Foundation also presented souvenirs to the Vice Chancellor, the Registrar, and the Dean of Social Sciences and Arts. Faculty members and students from Department of Business Administration, Department of Economics, Department of International Relations and Department of Computer Sciences participated.

The session concluded at a positive note where 200 students of different departments learned good practices of entrepreneurial process. Now we are looking forward to have brilliant business ideas from these exceptionally talented young women.

Day three was accompanied by the "Peace Camp" on 6th December 2017. It was organized by Shaoor foundation and was hosted by Department of Business Administration. Peace camp focused on developing an understanding of peace, conflict and extremism. Peace building exercises aimed to educate participants on how to encounter violence and extremism with non-violent and peaceful behavior in order to become a civilised member of society and world as a whole. Participants were also briefed about the importance of role played by academia in building peace.
