Introduction
The Physics department of women university AJ&K Bagh is newly born and one of the good place for research and education in physics since 2014.The department has 6 faculty members, more than 80 undergraduate and graduate students. Research is organized into three primary research areas like plasma physics, experimental high energy physics and medical physics. The department initially offered BS, M.Sc and M. Phil. degrees and is keen to offer Ph.D. in near future. Department has strong research collaboration with National Center for Physics Islamabad and Atomic Energy Commission of Pakistan. For extra curriculum activities, Department has Ibn, Al- Haytham Physics Society.
