How to Apply

Admissions to various degree programs at WUAJ&K are open to all eligible candidates without discrimination of any kind among females and equal opportunities; hence all the admissions are regulated on the basis of merit.

For M. Phil Program, the eligible applicants must possess 16 year s degree in the relevant field from accredited international universities with CGPA 2.5/4 (semester system) or not less than 60% in annual system. For Masters Program the candidate must have second division or its equivalent grade from any HEC recognized University / Institute.

For department and selection of program of studies, the applicant shall have to go through the Graduate Prospectus available at Admission Office of WUAJ&K.

Application procedure

Applications are made in response to the admission notice in the press. Admissions are conducted according to an admission schedule which is prominently displayed in admission notices. The students are required to check the eligibility criteria for each subject before applying for admission.

Submission of Admission Form alongwith Required Documents

The application form for M. Phil / MS and Masters program is available with this admission guide. The candidate will be required to submit the application form duly completed in all respect alongwith the required documents (detail is also given in admission form) in Admission Office, WUAJ&K before the last date of admission.

Detail of Required Documents

Three passport size photographs, matriculation (SSC), Intermediate (HSSC), BA/BSc, MA/MSc in relevant subject, Hafiz-e-Quran Certificate (if applicable), Sports certificates (if applicable), Domicile, state subject, CNIC/ B–Form , Character Certificate, (Issued by collage attended last). Migration certificates (in case of passing BS or equivalents examination from other than Universities of AJ&K.

Display of Merit List and Submission of Dues

The list of finally approved candidates is displayed on departmental notice board as well as on the university website on scheduled dated. After that the student will be required to deposit the dues

Need Based Scholarship

The university offers the need based scholarships to desiring candidates. These scholarships will be awarded purely on merit. The scholarships will be announced after the allocation of budget for scholarships. The student will be required to get the scholarship form free of cost from Admission Office of WUAJ&K. After getting admission, the applicant will be required to apply for scholarship.

Who Should Enroll ?

All prospective students wishing to join the University immediately to have an early start of their higher education. In-Service candidates who are keen to improve their qualifications and skills. Only female students are enrolled at undergraduate and graduate level, however, only female will be given admissions in M. Phil / MS programs with preference will be given to females. There is no restriction on the year of passing, but the pre-requisite examination must have been passed from a recognized Institution / University.
