Established in 2014, Women University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Bagh is a public-sector institution providing women of the region with access to quality higher education, research, and professional training. The University offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs across three faculties: Arts and Social Sciences, Science and Technology, and Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy. Through teaching, research, and community engagement, it prepares its graduates to build professional careers, take on leadership roles, and contribute to the social and economic development of Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Pakistan.

Many of its students come from areas where opportunities for higher education have been limited.
