A central library in the university campus has been established with the collaboration of Higher Education Commission (HEC). The contributions.
The library has more than 10,000 collections of books, magazines, periodicals, research papers and research journals. The collection is available in different languages and forms like, CDs, DVDs, microfilms, video and audio cassettes and manuscripts. The library has 65,000 ebooks , 32 research journals locally and internationally having monthly bi-monthly quarterly and annually.Famous national and local newspaper are on daily basis. The library has beautiful and well decorated room in the building. There is a reading hall with the seating capacity of approximately 100 readers. The library has Internet facility for online access of the material. It has a computerized "OPAC" catalogue for searching material.
Books Accumulation: Efforts are being made to extend the volume of library. The Vice Chancellor has also approached different universities and donors for the donation of books for library. So far, the university has successfully got the grant of Rs.2.00 million for the initial establishment of library. The library provides the facility of lending, indoor reading, photocopy, Internet facility and orientation services. The university has launched a new web based Library Management System (LMS) in colloboration with PASTIC to provide access to updated Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC).
Library Team: The university library team is responsible for planning, prioritizing and implementing joint library initiatives. The team works with the Registrar to develop and implement Library-wide strategy and policy approved by university.
The Central Library has signed different MOUS with several other Universities for resource sharing purpose. Recently we have signed a MOU with PASTIC for resource sharing and on the resource sharing basis now we have access to the PASTIC library databases.
