 The seminar related to Role of Academic Institutions to Prepare Youth against Cyber Crime was arranged by Computing Society under the supervision of Director Student Affairs in Youth Development Centre on 25 Jan 2024. The main purpose of this seminar was to create awareness about most spreading crime Cyber Crime. Guest speaker was Mr. Khurram Iqbal  Superintendent Police District Bagh AJ&K. Dr.Mushtaq Registrar WUB AJ&K, Dr.Kamal Hussain Khan Dean Faculty of Science & Technology WUB AJ&K Bagh, Dr. Shoaib Amjad Director QEC , Dr.Anees Qumar Director IT,

Mr. Iqbal provided valuable insights into the current landscape of cyber threats, emphasizing the role of law enforcement in addressing and preventing cybercrimes. He also gave some real life examples of cybercrimes happening in the area and role of Police.  He also advised the students to remain vigilant and aware while using digital apps and internet.

 Dr. Abbasi discussed about the different types of cybercrimes, causes and prevention strategies and the pivotal role of academic institutions in equipping the youth with the knowledge and skills necessary to safeguard against evolving cyber challenges.

Registrar Women University of AJK Bagh Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq gave a note of thanks for the presenters on such an important topic of today's age and distributed certificates.

The seminar aimed to raise awareness about the importance of understanding cybercrimes and implementing preventive measures. The collaborative efforts of Computing Society Women University of AJK Bagh and YDC highlighted the significance of partnerships in tackling such critical issues. Participants gained key takeaways, learning about the latest cyber threats and practical steps to secure themselves in the digital realm.
